When I was hired, there was no Skype interview. This was June of 2016.
Wish I could be of more help to you, but our entire recruiting department turned over since I got hired - I think things may have changed.
Just give it your best and study your butt off about IFR procedures, regs, and weather. It may also have a bit to do with your personality as the company is looking for people who are going to upgrade to captain positions.
