Are they doing background checks or partial ones now before offering a pool letter? They didn't do anything on me until they called me for class. I had selected to be notified about pria requests on the forms ups sent and was in touch with my company's records person as well. Anyone in the current pool keeping tabs on this?

Sponsors: (and just for clarity) I've looked thru chief pilot hotlines and the bar and grill, haven't found any mention of an official sponsor program at Brown. I assume whale and 767 are loosely using the term to refer to UPS pilots who have written internal letters of recommendation and maybe making a few calls/emails to HR folk on behalf of their buds they are trying to get in.

My earlier suggestion to follow up with HR was specific to that guy's situation-a rare exception rather than the rule. In general, I side with whale and 76. I'll hold my ground, in this market anyway, on waiting too long as showing disinterest.
