Free breakfast every morning, free booze and food 3-4 nights a week. The evening food wasn't as extensive as the Staybridge, typically just snacks/appetizers. But once you're on a whacked out sim schedule, having the full kitchen was nicer than the free food. As I recall (and I might be mixing this up with the hotel in MIA), they had grills out by the pool for guest use. Nice way to make some dinner, wind down and do some light studying. Added bonus, it's at most a 5 minute walk to Delta Land and still very convenient to all the goodies that Virginia Avenue has to offer. And added added bonus: we both got a pile of Marriott points.

Moral of the story: Call around and ask for a "Delta crew discount" and you'd be surprised at some of the deals you can get.
There used to be a bunch of crashpads in the neighborhood around the private school back there. I did some footwork during indoc and found a crashpad with my own room for $250 a month. I stayed there during sims and ended up keeping the place while I was based there. With all the hiring those might be far and few between now. It was nice having a house with a living room, kitchen, laundry, TV, internet for $250 a month. If those aren't available get a nice place for sure even if it costs $$$....nothing worse than staying in an uncomfortable dump during newhire sim training.
