we need to negotiate for reserves to get paid 87 hrs guaranty plus 5 hrs per day that they need to actually be near the airport (the new "short call") to cover a trip. and if they get assigned a trip (god help them) they need prm pay of 200%. this should go for new hires who are horribly assigned to be a reserve pilot as well as all the good folks who bid to reserve
we should do this even if it means reducing the hourly rate on lineholders
maybe take away any vaca days from lineholders
whatever it takes
do something for all our sakes
