Libel is illegal and regardless of what you may think is an anonymous forum, the person you are defaming does in fact have the right to pursue legal action against you. The mods most likely deleted your post in an attempt to protect themselves from legal action and to protect you from your own decision to post derogatory remarks with the intent to harm another persons reputation.
