Don't mistake the current airline environment for the reality of what this job can become. And it happens with surprising rapidity when the axe starts to fall!
When the company releases it's staffing it gives you a sneak peek at the month ahead. Things don't seem to be changing much with these sneak peeks. I think about 50-55% in IAH on the B756 might get you a crappy (Clevelend-like) line with sit times, and early AM shows, and the like.
The real issue is the airline pulling the flying out of IAH B756 and pulling the rug out from the entire base. You don't know what to believe, the fleet plan, the monthly plan, the ...fill in the blank. So many high quality trips have left IAH. Do they come back with Houston economy and energy sector coming back? How about Houston-Paris? Smizek killed that for really no-good-reason.
I wonder what Smizek is up to these days...........Now that's a thread drift.
