For me, assuming it takes 18 months to get to a legacy, Ill recoup my losses by 50 and have some better health care and retirement (B-fund), under a superior contract and seasoned union. Here, Ill be lucky to make middle pack 320 CA, working weekends/holidays and my B___s off to clear 250K. To each his own- good luck to us all.
Again, my crystal ball is cracked....
But, this is the exact situation to which I was referring. If this guy ever makes it to middle of the A320 captain list at XYZ domicile he'll never get summer vacation, Christmas off and will likely be on red-eyes most trips. However, at a legacy he could probably retire a senior narrow body captain and avoid the crap as he gets older.
