You do realize that ARW has a long and great relationship with the UAL MEC? This was not some lower level ALPA buddy buddy rumor mill that made its way into a comm. This was approved at several levels. Nobody "jumped the gun" and nobody misunderstood what was happening. It takes an incredible effort to put out a comm within the association. It has to go through officers, comm specs, and attorneys. When ALPA (whether national or MEC level) puts something out, you can bet it wasn't done on a whim.
