I didn't read the article but it looks like another I've seen. My understanding is your "rider" rating goes up if you're a good tipper. A nice rating goes a long way towards getting picked up at the airport in your commuter city for a late night ride home, when your sleeping wife doesn't REALLY want to pick you up.
Yup.............but it smacks of extortion to me.................give me a good tip or I'll give you a bad rating. Don't like the direction that is headed.
