I was led to believe that I would be paid from the recruitment department, and from some of *your* responses on this forum. However, when I asked the guy in charge of my ATP-CTP course he informed me that I would be paid starting my ground school in indoc. If that is the case, I screwed up royally in quitting my part 91 job. I am just trying to plan put some things finically for my family, not trying to make waves. Anybody have any input? Thank you.

Entry-level 121 aviation (ie regional FO) is not, and has never been, a "real Job" from a compensation perspective. It's more like a paid internship. The pay is much higher than it was ten years ago (so is COL), but it's still more stipend than real compensation.

It's not going to allow a grown adult with family to live a normal life (unless you're in a really low COL localation). You must have a plan for that...sugar-momma, retirement from mil/LE, trust fund, ramen, mom's basement, living-in-a-van-down-by-the-river, etc.
