In the end, stay inside your comfort zone, don't check the box if you're not comfortable with your interpretation, but the zw mec and ual mec have told the pilot group theirs and say it's ok.

I HOPE this is really happening to help awac pilots. But UAL MEC hasn't told the awac pilot group
anything. We have no official communication from
anyone at United. We have no official communication citing any names or offices of United personnel (Ex: Director of Hiring) to provide accountability. We also have no emails or announcements sent directly from UAL personnel OR ALPA (non-ARW).
And unfortunately there is no contract language supporting anything you just posted. In fact, the very language ARW cited in their email directly opposes the idea that awac is distressed. The UAL contract language is very specific to say that the pilot must have been laid off/unemployed due to carrier shutdown. If you have a job for at least the next 12 months and the company is negotiating a CPA, that doesn't sound like you have been laid off.....
The last two days have been very silent from all sides. With so much confusion that's a huge disservice to the workforce, for both the company and the union.
