Its 101 miles from my driveway to the parking lot at JFK. NYC has a very liberal rush hour...meaning its 7 am to 10 am and 2pm to 6pm. and at Any time an accident can occur somewhere in the tristate area to affect all of it!
In Rush hour, it has taken me 3 hrs to get there...but usually 2.5...Listening to NYC traffic on the Satellite radio before you go is a must. And fortuitous to recheck every 30 min on your drive in as well as crosscheck with the local NYC AM radio stations as you get closer and pick them up. 1010 and 880 are good every 10 minutes on the 1 and 8's for traffic.
