Reserve Availability List
I've read the scheduling handbook and still have a question about rankings on the list. I'm assuming that if you're at the top of the list you're first to go. For instance, if I fall into the 5 days available bucket I will be grouped with other 5 days available folks. In my case there are 4 others. I have the highest raw score, the most short calls and the lowest seniority. Is that why I'm at the top of the 5 days available bucket?
I also wonder how, when there are 30 people on reserve in base I'm the one that gets picked for a 3 day trip in another base that also has a large amount of reserves.
What I'm gathering is reserve "rules" should be viewed more as "guidelines". Either way, it's not like it's a hard job, especially this time of year. Lots of time home, so life is good.
