I was hired with significantly less than 3000 TT (mix of mil/121) but more than you have. There is a guy in the class after me with all civ time and less TT than I had.

Pretty sure it's a case by case basis. However, if you have less than minimums, it wouldn't hurt to go to a meet and greet so that you get some face time...
