I have a friend at UoI and he says it is a great engineering school, one of the best in the country. I am also going to school (MSU) for engineering, so I would suggest that. It's a solid backup career and I think it is very interesting. Anything is possible though.
Yeah, UOI is raked 4th in engineering so their engineering program is really something. I was actually going to go into engineering as a back up but I have been reading and found out it would be too hard for a back up major that I might never use. Good luck with school and thanks for the suggestion.
