It is what it is though. If you are a captain, it is a good job. If you are an FO, leave.
If 500 captains had lost their 4th stripe during the furloughs, this would be a much different conversation...and if furloughs happen again, it'll be interesting to see what happens to said captains. I'm not familiar with the downgrade language and if it has a different function during a possible furlough.
What is unsettling is that if NJA furloughed 495 again, the last guy out the door would be a 5/2006 hire.
