I respect that. QOL could mean many things for different people, not just living in base. Flying up and down the coast, staying in the same time zone, and flying with good folks can be some of the positive. I think what others mean is that more money, better retirement, job security, and more time off=QOL. To each his own.

I'm in the left seat and feel that I'm too far along in life to leave. I've past the CP, so to speak. I could not recoup the lost wages and retirement if I were to start over again at a different carrier (ie. FedEx, DAL, etc.). If I were in my 30s (perhaps even early 40s), it would be a no brainer.
