Well for the 824 yes. If your a protected pilot the only thing in common with an 824 is you have a pee test. You don't go over with anything except I think your id number. Btw pool selection is not the same thing as flying down to start class. It does sound good when you can use alternative facts and say a more junior guy is flowing or that a 2013 guy is upgrading when his class date isn't until next year. You get the idea.
