I literally just sent my first level manager a PM asking the status of the hiring freeze and how it was affecting our planned hiring. Haven't received an answer yet - but I'll post what I hear.
In the FAA Inspector hiring thread, someone posted that they received an e-mail (from HR?) that certain series (e.g. 1825s) were being exempted from the hiring freeze (which we should be one of them), but nothing official (or unofficial) has come across my email since the initial notification.
