Not to say we don't have a lot of really capable competent pilots but it just takes once. Also not to say that a 767 or 747 takes extraordinary skill to fly, they don't, but the nature of the operation is challenging in that we get so few cycles, it is really hard to become and maintain proficient skill. I average 24 landings per year. The wrong combination just once is all it takes, I won't be surprised when it happens. We have been really really lucky a couple times recently and the 'put bodies in the seats' mentality is undeniably an increased risk.
