Just to clarify, ATSG can place those jets in either ABX or ATI as they wish. There's no hard scope language for Amazon.
I'm just going to copy and paste from the sticky notes on the "2017 pilot contract" title on JH's office "to do" board:
Step 1: Tell your pilots ABX is not competitive because they're way too expensive.
Note to myself: don't forget to tell them they stabbed the company in the back, make sure Amazon doesn't find out the strike was on me
Step 2: Demand a crappy contract.
Step 3: If pilots don't want to sign the new sh*tty a** contract, tell them all new flying is going to ATI.
Step 4: If they still don't want to sign the contract, send all new Amazon airplanes to ATI.
Note: don't over do it, we don't want ATI to become a liability. We can take the airplanes away from them later on
Step 5: Offer senior pilots a crappy early out. Key words: overstaffed and F... yeahh F my favorite word. That'll teach them.
Step 6: When is ATI's turn to sign a new contract, repeat step 1 thru 5.
The only problem here is that ABX pilots won't cave. They can use the word F but beleive me, nobody is afraid on this side of the fence. The strike has brought the group closer, seems like we're all on the same page. Just like what everybody said when the strike happened. "Now or never!" And NO, we don't regret it.
