ORD has had a longer reserve time due to no real growth. SEA, PDX, and LAX to some extant grew quickly. Once all the transfers and transitions filled the new bases they still needed lots of people in those bases. That is why reserve has been longer in ORD for a new hire. I would guess that once all of the ERJ's have been delivered hiring will slow. Lots of ERJ first officers do not want to upgrade on the CRJ.
