Here's the biggest problem AWAC faces in my opinion. To take on and implement a new fleet takes time, a year minimum at best. They would have to start today to be able to go straight from AA to someone else once the AA contract is up. The other problem is AWAC is already struggling to staff the flying the already have. They can't do a steady transition into other flying or AA could sue them for falling well short of providing the lift they agreed to. So unless AWAC is planning on spending a ton of money to pay their whole airline to not fly for a few months as they transition and train, I don't see how they will be able to do it. They won't be able to just switch ALL flying to a new carrier in one day. And I love the AWAC guys but I don't see anyone wanting those 200s. So I really really hope you all get an announcement as early as possible.
