It's extremely short right now, within a month or two. Captains are holding lines out of training. Fos within a month or two.
The flying has longer legs, fewer legs per day and higher credit. LGA emj has the best value system wide. Tons of Miami flying. Most trips go lga CVG mia day 1 Mia tlh Mia pit day 2, pit JFK orf Mia d3, Mia IND LGA d4 for an example. LGA has 35 min taxi for any leg going or coming to LGA so the values are much better even a short hop to orf is blocked at 1.35 and we do a good chunk of the JFK fly through which has the same. Otherwise we are flying the bulk of Miami which is 2-3 hours each way. It's a completely different job vs DFW/Ord (ESP Ord).
Almost all the captains in LGA will be 2008-2012 hires so your going to be flying mainly with guys in their early 30s. Also the NY base has always had a great and friendly culture. Egos aren't welcome.
