Do you have an interview with a legacy? If not and you want to fly with a legacy, my advice would be to take the UPT slot now. I've known several pilots with good experience in the civilian world, go thru UPT and go right with a legacy. Age waivers are risky, no guarantees; but USAF UPT plus some good civilian time is as close to guarantee to a legacy spot as it comes.
