Just a speculation, from the recurrent last week. We know air canada parked or is parking the 190s. AA is getting rid of theirs basically leaving us as the last 190 operator in north america. I know some of the parts are interchangeable with the 170/175 but many are not. Expensive parts like engines. It could get very expensive to operate that in the near future. We own 30 and lease 30. IMO, the 190 may be on a short life line.
Don't flame me now! I've been a 190 guy since the beginning and like the plane. Just repeating logic. ...which if it's logical will never happen in airline worlds!
The management told our recurrent class that the 190 may start being phased out around 2019/2020 for what it's worth. Is that around the time those leases are up?
