Can anyone elaborate just a little more? Did the crew member get ill and call out sick resulting in his termination?
As you are probably aware, a probationary crew member can be terminated for any reason. You are reading the unions interpretation of what happened and I am sure that many details are being omitted. Although it may be true, the company would never say it was because of this reason. They would just say, "thanks but no thanks...hit the road".
