Eye contact, smile and a firm handshake. Know your TAFs and METARs, and bring Whataburger.
They may offer you an earlier class and more money to fly the Dash, but if you're going to commute, the jet is really going to be where the movement (i.e. QOL) is. Unless you're willing to move to/close to base, then take the cash!
