We don't speak to FAs or agents with profanity but when the cockpit door is shut we proceed to swear like sailors to each other.
This forum is comprised largely of peers and we are all big boys and girls. And while the moderators certainly have the right to censor their forum with their rules, imo you need to loosen the grip a little. This isn't church. My guess like most things you have to follow the money. I'd have to assume you have some advertiser(s) that don't want the profanity. We can understand that so just say so if that's the reason. Otherwise you need to loosen the grip on the reigns and let the conversation mirror the cockpit.
Think there's a difference in using profanity and calling someone a profane name. Pretty sure that's the problem.
You feel comfortable arguing on the flight deck so much that it escalates to name calling? Not sure that's good CRM.
