It's too bad cause currently fly the 320 so the transition would be easy, but I fear LGA could be regrettable .

Is ewr looking to get any new Airbus flying ? It is it safe to say just if the 737 for the reasons of avoiding LGA , also what are the short call out times for reserves to LGA ? And compensation for getting to and from tHere ? LGA to JFK is one thing , but Neawrk LGA is a whole other animal
There is crosstown pay when you start a trip from an airport different than the primary airport. If you get tagged with a LGA trip, there is some extra pay which more than covers the expense of getting there. I couldn't find the exact amount, but I think it's around $150.

Don't count on new flying for the Bus in EWR...at least don't factor it in to which plane you choose. They could throw you a curveball and give you Dulles. The commute from TPA is potentially easier...but you'd be covering three airports.

Maybe I missed it...but do you have a class date or are you just considering United?
