Exactly. There are positives and negatives at every company. We are all now fully aware of the negatives at NJ, thanks to the people who who constantly post them on this forum.
Home basing, 7 on 7 off, generous vacation etc. are some of the positives, which for many people outweigh the negatives.
Commuting is hell. Commuting to a crash pad to sit reserve is miserable. Looking at the standby list when you're number 10 in line with negative 5 seats available and 2 others in line for the jump seat is not a pleasant feeling. Moving your family to a major airline hub isn't very appealing either.
AIDS is rampant in this industry. (Aviation induced divorce syndrome.)
