They also guide the NC and ensure the pilots' desires are being represented and negotiated, and when negotiations don't progress, they are supposed to look for additional resources to facilitate/force the process. Just as a reminder, there isn't much left of the MEC that voted yes for the 2015 TA. And then there is the issue of when the NC doesn't want to be guided by the MEC.....
