If we aren't sure: preboard anyway and stow your bad and have a seat in the cockpit. When the agent comes to close you can either move back if seats are available or stay in the cockpit.
If for some reason another jumoseater arrives that would ultimately bump you off the aircraft with his priority I'm sure you will graciously grab your bag and give him your seat.
I mean how hard is it just to tell the agent the junpseater is coming down?
Our company advises us of J/S'ers, which are required to show at the gate for a meet and greet with the crew. The pass is given to me which is summarily given to the gate agent and the J/S'er boards the jet with us. Bags are stowed in the first row behind first class in the event they are stuck in the "way back"
