Maybe spread facts instead of this crap to people who are looking at coming to Frontier or not. Those with 4 weeks can definitely get a lot of days off, but the entire month with a vacation period is almost impossible.
Also, you forget we are in CBA negotiations? Go ahead and publish how you think you'll get 1/3 of the year off. The more you talk about the good things, the more the trolls send it to the company and it puts a target on it. Why don't you just send that to Indigo.
Use whatever brain cell you have.
If push came to shove and we could somehow verify exactly what this braggart did or did not do, I'm betting the original poster is exaggerating his vacation successes. This being said, I'm also sure the Company is well aware of whatever success F9 pilots are or are not having with our current rules so posting a story on APC isn't exactly sharing State secrets.
The value of vacation has been enhanced in recent years by the way the Company builds pairings. We're flying point-to-point more often and it is common to leave your domicile on day 1 and not return until day 4. Combine this with the fact that the pairings are less productive and we're left with schedules that are commonly no better than 4 on followed by 3 off.
With a 7 day vacation period, it's pretty easy to touch 2 4 day trips and wind up with 17 days off in a row. The ironic part of this whole deal is that the Company has effectively given us what other carriers call "trip touching" for vacation--which we don't have in our contract, but really should.
I've never understood why people lie about things in an attempt to bolster their argument. In the end, it damages your credibility and does the exact opposite.
Carry on.
