It is just amazing to watch those beaten by this industry picking and choosing bits and pieces of reality to sleep at night.
Beaten?
Hardly dude.
Beaten? Please. The floor is yours. Make people absolutely coo in the light of your awesomeness.

The new company you've gone to is a takeover candidate for the next round. When a company doesn't want to get bought, it spends money to become less attractive to a suitor. TWA/Ozark is a great example. Get a good seniority number.
I have many friends there... my advice... don't be so cocky. They'll put you in check. It doesn't go over well for overnights either. And crews talk. They know who is great and who is... well.. thinking they have life all figured out.
