Was the CP willing to talk and interview if you show up.? I'm in the same boat, 530 TT, Comm-ASEL,AMEL, instrument.. Scheduled a phone interview with BA and they never called, probably heading to AK, but now with Yute shutting down, maybe a little bit of glut of pilots up there? Who knows?

A friend of mine is flying there and he hooked me up, I didn't go down. I guess it's like everywhere else, a few classes a year once people start getting the magic 1500h. They should have more openings eventually.
Islanders are part 135 VFR so 500h is the minimum. Pay was like 130-140 a day I think.
I'm pretty sure there's always room for pilots in Alaska, if you don't try you'll never know
