Pilots are people who inherently want to get the job done. That is why we all screw our own families over to help the airlines. That is why we work for nothing for many years so that the people at the majors can make 5 times as much for basically the same job.

Stop protecting the airlines and say one thing, F-U-Pay-Me. Demand and you will get.

Our unions now let the airlines pay outside of the contract by giving bonuses. Idiot pilots come up with explanations as to why it is ok and why they can do it, Idiots. A company cannot pay a member of the CBA employee group outside of the CBA period. In fact, it is a mandatory bargaining item that must be addressed in every contract.

No, it is not ok just because the company agrees to give them the money before they start their training. As one court said, members of a union choose their representatives to bargain. Just because the company wants to pay certain people more does not mean they can just do it. The union may want to distribute it differently and therefore the parties must negotiate the issue.

At almost all regionals now a first year pilot will make considerably more than a second year pilot. Great unions.
