The only people that knew UA was talking to ZW, were UA and ZW. So yea, it probably came as a surprise to AA that we are moving our whole fleet over to UA within a year. Flying for UA could come earlier than 02/2018, and I don't think AA was prepared for that.

AA could have been waiting for ZW to bid even cheaper flying to stay afloat after 02/2018. Yes, I'm no dummy that we have been slowly replaced by the WO's at our domiciles. But, I'm also sure that AA still wanted some lift out of us, albeit at a much lower rate than we were at, even with the extension we were on.


My post was more about the wild speculation of what our rad new domiciles will be... ASE! DEN! EWR! LAX! SFO! whatever!

As far as we have been told, its gonna be ORD and IAD so start making plans if you live near PHL, ORF or north of DCA.
