United re-upped Xjet's E145s through the end of 2018 out of IAH. It is American that is cutting Xjet's E145s.
United re-upped only a few of their current 145 fleet for XJT. UA can't move all of their 145's (UA ownes the XJT planes) to another carrier overnight and they only re-upped what they knew could not be moved to one of their partly owned carriers in the next year.
