From time to time everybody is going to make a mistake. It sounds to me like the company is making good on it so as long as it's corrected in a timely manner it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Maybe they were too busy fixing the problem to respond. Keep in mind, there are folks across the globe who don't even have the luxury of a paycheck and cushy job.
