Sure, if you adjust for inflation, does NJA adjust their pay for inflation? For reference, my current 3rd year pay rate is $30/hr more than my seat paid in 2001. This doesn't account for PS/401k contributions.
Work rules may be worse than 2001, but I would hardly consider them bad. This month, I'll work 9 days (5 nights away), fly 14 legs, for 85 hours of pay (~13yr 7/7 Capt monthly pay at NJA). Thanks to our work rules, I've been bought off 2 trips, with pay. This opens me up for overtime (200% pay) opportunities, that could increase my pay by 10-50 hours...more likely I'll stay home and enjoy life.
Seriously, I would interested in hearing specific examples. I appreciate learning how things we're so I have a better understanding of where we were and where we need to go.
