Quick question about the second paragraph. Are you saying Mesa is a good place for pilots looking for a quick upgrade and progression onto a legacy? I mean anyone going to Mesa should not be lifers right? They should go in with the intention of upgrading fast and going to bigger better things fast. Disclaimer: I realize the company doesn't treat pilots well and pay isn't great.
Yes they go in with the intention of quick in and quick out, but the key to places like that is escaping without a violation, accident or failure on your record that will either prevent or slow your progression to mainline.
Companies like that (Mesa, GoJet, Trans States) have no regard for the pilot's career progression, they only do business in the name of being cheap.
I was told early on by a legacy pilot to not fly for a shady outfit. Yes you want to build your time and advance, but not at the cost of your career.
