Sure can't argue with that. Hard to understand why they're doing all of the hiring they are doing now, much less the hiring that could be done with almost double the number of sims.

Someone broke it down on the FB group I believe, but when you take into account retirements, some attrition that is still going to occur, and an aging pilot group, the hiring makes sense even with an airframe reduction.
SWA generally runs on a lean staffing model. They don't hit the retirement bubble for like 7-8 more years due to having a relatively young group, so it wouldn't make sense to hire like Delta is right now.
I think we are going to see an uptick in hiring in a few years due to planned growth, some increased retirements, longer stage lengths, and utilizing aircraft during periods where we normally do the nightly SWA reset.
