319's offer flexibility but aren't great in terms of economics either. Roughly the same burn as a 320 with 24 fewer seats. Of course there's something to be gained from the flexibility it would offer > 190, it could fly anywhere we go with common pilots.
The C-Series is interesting but new. Could be good once they iron out all the kinks. The downside will eventually be the high lease/acquisition costs and whether that outweighs what has to be a heavily discounted 190 cost to own.
Get on board early with the C-Series and perhaps get a discount? We'll hear the same complaints "Why would we be a launch customer" every time the plane gets a write up. Once the plane becomes successful and proven the cost will surely go up to acquire.
