I don't like what is happening at Atlas any more than the very small handful of you posters that keep saying the same thing over and over again.....that the sky is falling!

And you same posters take things WAY too personally! This is an open internet forum designed to do what we are doing; We are debating an on topic subject of hiring at Atlas. But, just because someone calls it rhetoric or tells you to tone it down, you come unglued with personal attacks against that individual. An effective argument is won with decisive facts, not by yelling the same point over and over again even louder.
I am not trying to persuade any of you away from your fervor and motivation for a better contract but you ALL yourselves have acknowledged the following facts in one form or another:
- The company keeps finding pilots.
- The company has a team of cutthroat lawyers that they are using to engage us and the union.
- The company has money and they are not giving us any.
You have all at one point or another also made the following points among several others but these will suffice to make the point:
- This place is a **** show.
- if the check airmen would all just quit then we would bring this place to its knees.
- We are in danger of losing contracts
The first three points can be easily substantiated and have been done so numerous times ad nauseam, 10K, 10Q, etc. The latter points are just opinions or hypothetical scenarios. I am just a laborer here but the way I see it, we are losing. The company is apparently playing their cards properly seemingly with a trump card in their hand and our union doesn't seem to have an answer for any of the moves the company has made. The big players like DHL and Amazon are moving forward with Atlas as a partner and there doesn't seem to be any signs of that coming apart. When we run around like chickens with our heads cut off, ranting and raving about wanting money just makes us look like very little fish in a big sea. Acting like this in my opinion lends credibility to the notion that the company is treating us in proportion to our behavior.
So, to a prospective candidate that would like to come to this way off topic thread that has turned into a whining platform, what are they to believe after hearing unsubstantiated rants? They will not only stop reading but will not believe them either and will go elsewhere for information. What is left is a group of the same handful of posters patting each other on the back spouting the same garbage to each other said different ways each time yelling louder and shooting insults at those who dissent.
From a business standpoint, I don't agree with Atlas' tactics but I understand it enough to accept that this is part of the decision that I made to fly at Atlas. So why the insults? You can all certainly dish out sarcasm so please learn to take it as well. I agree with your points as I have always stated, just not your methods conveying that information.
