By turning down a majority of captains that interviewed, they also turned away many more from even trying to interview in addition to those that were already lifers here. That just exacerbated the top heavy portion of our seniority list. Trying to run them off by shrinking MSP and DTW isn't going to work well.... That's just making things worse.
This is an industry wide problem for/at the regionals. Regionals were never ment to be as large but buy the greed of mainline pilots and lower costs to management it was allowed. Then factor in limited hiring at mainlines over the years and what hiring was done much of which outside of the regionals you end up with more senior so called lifers.
