Additionally, you will be bumped off of the jumpseat from time to time. I use to commute out of Pensacola to Boston, those were long and horrible days of commuting.
Frankly, everyone of these regionals should increase their pay significantly, no matter how good the contract is, it could always be better.
I second this. I chose Republic over the others because of bases and base pay. I have not been here a full year yet and have weekends off and making well over guarantee each month. Go where you don't have to commute! Take the negativity about RAH with a grain of salt. With the new (newish) contract our work rules and base pay should not be overlooked.
