How often can they short call you a month? My buddy on reserve just picks up flights the day beforehand​ (aggressive pickup he calls it). I'm trying to figure out how many days I will be away from home while on reserve. I am thinking at least 18..Right? Since you get paid 4 hours a day when on reserve what's the advantage of trying to pick up trips the day prior? My buddy does it for the money but I only care about least amount of days worked (getting military retirement check). He also avoids the crash pad expense but I plan on just getting a place near base and hanging out if I have to. No real need to respond, I have months to figure it out actually.
