What's the harm is waiting if/when you hit the 100 hour mark?
Water under the bridge at this point, but the harm could easily be dependent on the exact nature of the sick call at the post 100 hour mark. Full blown pneumonia/ebola with a fever of 106? Easy peasy to get "verified" by anyone authorized to do so. Calling out for a moderate stomachache/headache or other issues that may or may not be verifiable to a third party? At that point you have a choice: roll the dice and hope it works out, despite a potential "ops check normal could not duplicate" letter, or just tough it out and press on and fly anyway.
