Originally, my idea was to 2 leg commute to one of those bases and then a round 1 line until I can hold round 1 in CLT for the one leg commute. So my question is this: With CLT having the most amount of spaces available for FOs by a decent margin, would it be better to shoot for CLT out of the gate for the one leg commute with the assumption that the time to get round 1 will be much shorter ooooorrrrr should I continue with my original plan?
With the new base opening and new lines being added its most likely going to change wildly every month. Everyone is looking at the same information - i.e. 'hmmm, why am I sitting reserve when I can one leg it to R1?' well, the problem is you don't know how many people all changed their base bids until AFTER the bid comes out.

So if you look and see CVG is .2 yrs and you change your bid and so does everyone else now it goes to .5 yrs. Now you can't rebid for a month and it may take a month minimum or more before a spot opens and you can move to a different base. Even though you can change base every month, there has to be an open spot for you to move to.

Commuting sucks, two leg commuting sucks even worse. Reserve sucks. As we said in the military - embrace the suck.

With as topsy turvy as everything is it might be better at this point to pick the best commute and wait a few months to see how everything shakes out. After it settles down again it might be easier to predict what base is what.

Two cents.

PS - also don't forget that the date on the chart is the LAST person in line to hold line 1. You will have access to SAP but you are still lowest on the totem pole. So to add to the "sucks" - commuting to a ****ty line sucks.
